Study On The Pharmacognosy Of Cacumen Tamaricis

Objective:To engage in a systematic pharmacognostical studies on cacumen tamaricis,provide experimental data and scientific evidence for establishing the quality standards.Methods:Adopt Herbalogical methods to textual research the cacumen tamaricis.The Pharmacognosy methods was used to investigate the external appearance and resources surveys of original plant of cacumen tamaricis,to study the appearance of characters and anatomy characteristics of medicinal materials of the cacumen tamaricis, comparing the adulterant species. According to the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China(2005 Edition),the impurity, water, ash and acid-insoluble ash of the medicinal materials of cacumen tamaric were measured;TLC was adopted to establish physical and chemical distinction of cacumen tamaricis; Rapid methods of identification of medicinal materials of the cacumen tamaricis was exploring with FTIR.The content of rutin and quercetin was determined by HPLC method.Results:The external appearance of original plant and the appearance of characters were submitted,and high quality standard and featured anatomy characteristics of cacumen tamaricis were established.The quality standard of cacumen tamaricis required as the following:the purple brown diameter of thick stalk not more than 1.5mm and silt not more than 3.0%,water content should be not more than 12.0%, total ash not more than 16.0%, acid-insoluble ash not more than 0.70%. The TLC method of cacumen tamaricis was established.Rapid methods of identification of medicinal materials of the cacumen tamaricis was established with FTIR.The FTIR fingerprinting was initially setting up.A HPLC method for determination of rutin and quercetin was established.Conclusion:The research results provided theoretical evidence and data for accurately identifying and establishing the quality standard of cacumen tamaricis,and for utilizing cacumen tamaricis.
