Objective: To observe the percentage of early apoptosis of CD4~+T cell in peripheral blood, the levels of ACE and HLA-G in plasma and their relations to retinopathy in pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH).Methods: The percentage of CD4~+T cells which have been in the status of early apoptosis and which express Fas were detected by flow cytometry in peripheral blood of 40 cases of women with PIH(devided into three groups by extent of disease)and the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbentassay(ELISA)was adopted to detect the concentrations of ACE and HLA-G in plasma before and after delivery, besides 20 cases of women with normal pregnancy and 14 cases of women without pregnancy were included serving as control groups. The indexes were compared, and the correlation with retinopathy were discussed. Results: The percentage of CD4~+T cells which have been in the status of early apoptosis had statistical significance among four groups(devided by extent of retinopathy) before delivery(P<0.05),and the index decreased when the stage of retinopathy developed. There wasn't transparent correlation in four groups(devided devided by extent of retinopathy)between the rates of CD4~+T cells which had been in the status of early apoptosis and which expressed Fas before delivery(P>0.05). The lever of ACE had statistical significance among four groups(devided by extent of retinopathy) before and after delivery(P<0.01),and the index mounted up when the stage of retinopathy developed.Though the level after delivery dropped in each group, only the fourth stage of retinopathy had statistical significance(P<0.01). The level of HLA-G correlated with the extent of retinopathy and the disease separately before delivery(P<0.01); The index correlated with the extent of retinopathy and the disease separately before delivery(P<0.01); The level of HLA-G correlated with the extent of retinopathy and thedisease separately before delivery(P<0.01);there were conspicuous relationship between the extent of retinopathy and the disease(P<0.01).Conclusion: The levers of early apoptosis of CD4~+T cell in peripheral blood,ACE and HLA-G in plasma might played important roles in pathogenesis of retinopathy and be a good index in reflecting the rank of retinopathy in PIH.
