| The First Exploration of the Progesterone Receptor Isoforms Expression in the Placenta of Hypertensive Disorders Complicating PregnancyBackground:Hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy remains a leading cause of maternal death and perinatal morbidity and still the pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease remain largely unknown. Objective:To study the expression of progesterone receptor isoforms ( PRs) in the placenta of hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy(HDCP) and normal pregnancy.Method:Using electrophoresis and RT-QPCR technique, the expression of PR-(A +B) and PR-B mRNA were examined in normal pregnancy (15 cases ) and preeclampsia(25 cases ) in the obstetric department of the second hospital of Jilin university.Results:(1) Expression of PR mRNA in preeclampsia were significantly lower than those in normal pregnancy ( P < 0.05) ; (2) The special expression of PR-C has no association with HDCP(P>0.05); (3)The ratio of PR-B/PR-(A+B) mRNA has no significantly difference between normal pregnancy and HDCP(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1) The low expression of PR may be related to HDCP;(2) The special expression of PR-C has no association with HDCP;(3) The ratio of PR-B/PR-(A+B) mRNA may be not related to HDCP. |
