Objective To compare the clinical efficacy and relevant data of transurethral balloon dilatation of prostate (TUDP) with plasmakinetic energy transurethral resection of the prostate (PKRP) in the treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Methods A total of 61 patients with BPH were enrolled from October 2009 to May 2010. TUDP group 26 case, PKRP group 35 case.To observe on hospitalization fee (RMB), operational time (min), blood loss of operation (ml), the heart-lung complications in perioperative period, International Prostate Symptoms Scales (I-PSS), Quality of Life (QOL), the maximum of urine quotiety (Qmax), residual urine volume (RUV), have or no retrograde ejaculation(RE), have or no increse erection disturbance(ED). Results There is no significant differences between the relevant data of two groups before operation (P>0.05). Compared with the TUDP group and PKRP group include I-PSS, QOL, Qmax, RUV,in the march After the surgery, PKRP group overmatch TUDP group, which is significant differences between the relevant data of two groups (P<0.05).But PKRP group are inferior to TUDP group include hospitalization fee (RMB), operational time (min), blood loss of operation (ml), the heart-lung complications in perioperative period, have or no retrograde ejaculation(RE) in the march After the surgery, which is significant differences between the relevant data of two groups (P<0.05). have or no have or no increse erection disturbance(ED) in the march After the surgery which were compared is no significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion TUKP is superior to TUDP In improveing QmaX, I-PSS, QOL, RUV; which is the preferred choice treatment. But, in some field, TUDP is still useful supplement, such as the elderly and infirm patients can choose TUDP; the patients which combined with low tolerance of cardiopulmonary complications can choose TUDP; the relatively young patients which are to avoid increase retrograde ejaculation also can choose TUDP; It also can choose TUDP For remote undeveloped area without transurethral resection equipment and laser equipment, for Without sufficient funds For PKRP or ransurethral resection of the prostate.
