Inclusion criteria of high-risk were premature birth, low birth weight, neonatal asphyxia, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, intracranial hemorrhage. All 115 high-risk infants were selected and randomly divided into two groups, early intervention group (55cases) and control groups (60 cases). At same time a healthy control group (55 cases) was set up according to age, family income and gender. Distributions of parental educational level, parental occupation, family income, child age composition, gender composition of children were similar among these three groups. The differences of the age, gender, high risk between the early intervention group and the control group was not statistically significant (p>0.05). System management, regular follow-up, neuropsychological development monitories, evaluation of physical development, scientific feeding guidance, and personally early intervention were carried in the early intervention group. After one years follow–up, CDCC and Carey Temperament Questionnaire for children were used to evaluate the level of psychomotor development among all these groups.Results1. Mental development index and psychomotor development index in the early intervention group were dramatically improved than that of in the control group(P﹤0.01);no different of MDI and PDI between in the control group and in the health control group.2. Distribution of Temperament types among three groups was no significant difference(P﹥0.05),but the dimension of adaptive between the intervention group and in the control group is significant different.3. Height and weight Index was no different in the early intervention group and in the control group(P﹥0.05). but the incident of moderate and severe malnutrition in the early intervention group (18.37%)was higher than that of in the control group(4.00%) (P﹤0.01).Conclusion: Early intervention can improve the mental and psychomotor development in the high-risk infants; the high-risk maybe is a bad influence on the developing of children's temperament, psychological and behavioral characteristic.
