A Clinic Study On The Treatment Of Kidney And Spleen Asthenia Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding With Moxa-cone Moxibustion On Acu-point Yinbai (SP1) And Chinese Patent Medicine

BackgroundThe tempo of modern time is more and more quickly and great changes of environment which lead to Hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis functional disorder and Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). In Chinees traditional culture, it called "Uterine bleeding" or "Profuse uterine bleeding", which seriously damaged womens health. In China many women still can not accept hormone therapy in DUB because its adverse effect. On the other side, diagnostic curettage is a effective treatment to DUB, but it can not be ues to girls without sexual activity. As effective,low price and no side-effect, Traditional Chinese Medicine is more and more popular in global. Thousands of years ago,Chinere people used moxibustion for therapying gynaecopathia. Expand-edness of the clinical research is to learn the effect of the Moxa-cone moxibustion.Object ivesTwenty three Kidney and Spleen asthenia Dysfunctional uterine bleeding cases were treated with Moxa-cone moxibustion on Acupoint Yinbai (SP 1) Purpose To observe rapeutic effect of traditional chinese therapy on stop bleeding and improving clinical symptoms of DUB.MethodsUsing prospective studies and randomized controlled trial, we observed 49 patients with Kidney and Spleen asthenia (43 of them with haemostasis at the same time) Dysfunctional uterine bleeding in department of Gynecology in Guangdong TCM Hospital from Jan.2010 to Feb.2011. We use mongolian milkvetch root (Huangqi) parenteral solution and capsules Zhixuedan as basic therapy to control group. Moxa-cone moxibustion on Acupoint Yinbai (SP 1) and supporting therapy are be used to trial group. To observe curative effect in 24 hours and statistical treatment of analytical data.Result1.Basic data:We observed 49 cases with Dysfunctional uterine bleeding in all:include 26 control group cases and 23 trial group cases. Patients who were Kidney and Spleen asthenia was 6 (12.24%), Kidney and Spleen asthenia and syndrome of blood stasis was 43 (87.76%).The oldest one was 52 years old, the Youngest one was 12 years, the mean age was 39.47±11.12 years old.24 women have ever had abnormal uterine bleeding (48.98%).There were not different between two groups in age,pathogenesis,history of procreation and days of bleeding (P >0.05)2. Curative effect of HemostasisIn the first 6 hours when patients admission to the hospotial, there were no notable statistics difference between groups (P>0.05). After therapy trial group has significant difference in the last 6 hours with the one before therapy (P<0.05), the result has the excellence rate of 86.96% in trial group, 46.15% in control group, and the curative effect of Hemostasis was batter than control group (P<0.05) which without extremely effective. 3. Curative effect of improving symptomsAfter therapy the Curative effect of improving symptoms of trial group is significantly better than which of control group (P<0.01). The trial group has extremely effective in improving the mental status and decreasing cruor in menstrual bleeding (P<0.01), but has no notable statistics difference on other sides (P>0.05)Conclusion1. Moxa-cone moxibustion on Acupoint Yinbai (SP 1) and Chinese patent medicine supporting therapy can reduced hemorrhage of DUB.2. Moxa-cone moxibustion on Acupoint Yinbai (SP 1) and Chinese patent medicine supporting therapy can improve some symptoms of DUB.
