A Preliminary Study On Migrant Workers' Knowledge, Attitudes And Behaviors On Basic Occupational Health

objective:To investigating the current situation of migrant workers' basic occupational health services(BOHS) in Kunming construction site and GeJiu mining area. Taking migrant workers as the center, analyzing the knowledge, attitude and behavior of migrant workers to BOHS, the ability of supplier to providing and managing BOHS and the situation of demander obtain the BOHS. To providing scientific evidence for the government making decisions.Subjects and methods:This research uses the cross-sectional survey design to collect data by qualitative and quantitative methods. Questionnaires were completed by 203 migrant workers,19 migrant workers,one BOHS supplier and 3 employers participated in individual in-depth interviews.Conclusion:Part of the migrant workers lack of certain social security. Migrant workers'occupational health cognitive level is low, and there are statistically differences in occupational health related knowledge, attitude and behavior scores among different sociology features migrant workers. Basic occupational health services is need by migrant workers. There are differences in different types of enterprises provided BOHS. Some of the employer didn't reach the designated position of provide BOHS. The ability of occupational health service institutions to provide BOHS is insufficient.Suggestions:In the government level:(1)Using the good opportunity, fully advocate the government attaches great importance to the migrant workers'basic occupational health services; (2) Further promote the relevant laws and regulations, improve the supervision and enforcement efforts; (3) Improve the basic occupational health service system.In the operating level:(1) To adopt different targeted to use different health education way; (2) Depending on the current service, to guarantee migrant workers'occupational health.In the research level:(1)Considering the sample size reasonablely; (2) Carry out application research; (3) Carry out pilot working in enterprises.
