BackgroundPneumonia is a major cause of sepsis, but not all patients had sepsis. Pneumonia, severe pneumonia, especially the elderly are more likely to develop severe pneumonia and sepsis. Early in the disease is primarily inflammatory response syndrome, then the body will produce anti-inflammatory response. Body's immune function occurred in many aspects such as an extremely complex changes in its development process, then the formation of severe sepsis or MODS, MOF life-threatening. Severe sepsis is a common clinical syndrome. Pneumonia, the problem whether the merger is sepsis on the prognosis is very important, but currently there is less relevant clinical reports. Therefore, pneumonia-related sepsis has important clinical significance.ObjectiveTo study pneumonia-related sepsis'TCM syndrome distribution, establishing the type of syndrome, and various syndromes diagnostic reference standard. To determine prognostic factors, as a study of Chinese medicine treatment of pneumonia-related sepsis entry point in order to develop the best treatment programs, improve the clinical efficacy for the treatment of septic system of traditional Chinese medicine foundation.MethodsDiagnostic information of pneumonia-related sepsis will be collected by designed Syndrome Questionnaire. Through surveys, signs collection table will be set up with the statistical package SPSS 18.0. Diagnostic indicators of syndrome information will be put into database framework, and using descriptive analysis and cluster analysis, discriminant analysis for statistical analysis.Results1 Age and APACHE II score were positively correlated (P<0.05).2.1 The most common symptoms of disease are: listlessness, high fever, facial flushing lips, a small yellow mass matrix viscous expectoration without blood, no swelling belly, anorexia, insomnia, less yellow urine, stool obscure, yellow moss, high frequency pulse.2.2 The 1st,3rd,7th day after admission'symptoms of the disease characteristics of TCM syndromes and syndrome diagnosis clustering reference criteria are:The 1st day admission is mainly heat toxin filled card Ecchymosis resistance card, and Heat action Blood. The 3rd day after admission resistance mainly Ecchymosis and Qi deficiency, Qi Yang injury permits, mainly for the7th days after admission Qi Yin injury - evil heat resistance permits, certificates injury of Yin and Yang Qi.ConclusionAge and APACHEâ…¡score was positively correlated. Progression of the main syndromes were:The 1st day admission is mainly heat toxin filled card Ecchymosis resistance card, and Heat action Blood, the 3rd day after admission resistance mainly Ecchymosis and Qi deficiency, Qi Yang injury cards, primarily for the 7th day after admission Qi Yin injury - evil heat resistance permits, certificates injury of Yin and Yang Qi.
