Objective To study the plasma levels of TAT ( thrombin-antithrombin complex ) and OPN(osteopontin) in NSCLC( Non-small Cell Lung Cancer). Methods The plasma levels of OPN and TAT were detected by ELISA in 46 NSCLC patients, 22 patients with pulmonary benign diseases and 20 healthy subjects,we using SPSS11.5 statistical software for statistical analysis, the difference between each group of data comparison and correlation analysis were statisticed. Results (1) OPN plasma levels in NSCLC was significantly higher than benign pulmonary disease patients and healthy subjects (P = 0.017, t = 7.376); TAT plasma levels in NSCLC was significantly higher than patients with benign pulmonary diseases and healthy subjects ( P = 0.000, t = 15.885); (2) There is no significant difference of OPN and TAT plasma levels between patients with benign pulmonary diseases and the healthy subjects (P > 0.05); (3) OPN and TAT plasma levels were significantly correlated with lung cancer staging and distant metastasis, but not correlated with gender, age and pathological type(comparison of adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma) ; (4) OPN was positively correlated with TAT plasma level (r = 0.502,P <0.05). Conclusions (1) Detection of peripheral blood OPN and TAT may help us make different diagnosis of benign and malignant lung disease ; (2) OPN and the TAT may be assoiated with invasion and metastasis in lung cancer ; (3) OPN and TAT may be play a synergistic role in occurrence and development process in NSCLC; (4) detection in peripheral blood OPN, TAT, in particular the combined detection of two pairs may have a certain value for NSCLC staging , they can assist the clinical diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer . |
