Objectives:To detect impact that the Costasis of hemostatic affects on brain tissue by light microscope technology and immunohistochemistry technology and to research the effects of it in Neurosurgery in Sprauge-Dawley rats.Methods:Sprauge-Dawley rats which weight from 220 to 250 grams were divided into group experiment (group E, sprayed Costasis on the surface of pallium) and group contrast (group C, sprayed physiological saline on the surface of pallium). Each group was divided into four time points which were lweek,2weeks,3weeks,4weeks. Then these rats were anesthetized at the time points above-mentioned, and the obtained brain tissues were detected by light microscope technology and immunohistochemistry technology to observe changes. Then divide 40 rats into four groups randomly(ten rats each group):Experiment group, to spray CoStasis on the surface of incised pallium. Contrast group 1, to spray Fibrin glue on the surface of incised pallium. Contrast group 2, to smear Helitene on the surface of incised pallium. Blank group, nothing was done on the rats. The pallium near the right frontal pole was cut by the size of 3mm×2mm×1mm. Then local hemostatics were sprayed on it at once, and the complete stopping bleeding time was recorded. At last, Analyse the results with SPSS 17.0 statistical softwares. The P value smaller than 0.05 was thought to be statistical significance.Results:1 Costasis had less side effects on the morphosis of brain tissues compared with physiological saline. The detected results of four time points proved that neuron degeneration, inflammation reaction, gliosis and microvascular proliferation hadn't taken place after applied Costasis in Neurosurgery.2 The average complete stopping bleeding time (ACSBT) of group E was 16.4s, ACSBT of group C1 was 93.8s, ACSBT of group C2 was 67.6s, and ACSBT of blank group was 192.5s. ACSBT of four groups were adopted by LSD-test of multiple comparisons. ACSBT of group E was significantly more swift than in group Cl (P<0.05), in group C2(P<0.05) and in group blank(P<0.05).Conclusions:1 Applying light microscope technology and immunohistochemistry technology proves that CoStasis has little side effect on the morphosis of rats'brain tissues.2 The effect of stopping bleeding of CoStasis is superior to Fibrin glue and Helitene.
