OBJECTIVE: To explore the correlation between Neurosurgerypostoperative ICP increased and hypercapnia and study its clinicalsignificance in NICU patient.METHODS:428cases of patients who have been given neurosurgerycraniotomy and installed ICP Probe in NICU.They are givenpostoperatively continuous ICP monitoring and offered to blood gasanalysis. Determine whether the CO2retention, and hypercapnia.RESULTS: It suggested153cases have ICP increased, including32cases with CO2accumulation,accounting for20.91%;Improving ventilationtimely and correcting hypercapnia could lower ICP effectively.CONCLUSION: the relation between blood pressure level andseverity of CO2retention and hypercapnia appeared positive correlation.
