Objective Observation of progesterone on mouse uterine connexin 43 (Cx43)in the expression.Methods Selected 26 successful pregnancy C57BL/6 female mice were divided into three groups A, B and C.The does of group A was inserted subcutaneously into the back skin of mice of 0.4ml tea oil and intubated with 20% of ethanol 1ml one-time;The does of group B was subcutaneous injection of 25% of the progesterone tea oil solution 0.4ml and intubated with 20% of ethanol 1ml one-time;The does of group C was inserted subcutaneously into the back skin of mice of 0.4ml tea oil and intubated with lml Sodium Chloride(NS)one-time.Western blot with uterine smooth muscle tissue of each group of total protein and phosphorylation of Cx43 protein variation;Records of assessment delivery time for statistical analysis.Results(1)Average gestational age of pregnant rats in the group A (17.5±0.1d);The group B(19.1±0.3d)and the group C(19.4±0.1d); The group B and C respectively compared with A P<0.05;But no difference was found between group B and C, P>0.05.The average gestational age the group A earlier group B about 1.5 days.(2)Total of Cx43(Total-Cx43)protein in smooth muscle tissue of the three groups were expressed, the group A of protein expression (0.81±0.03)was significantly higher than B group (0.47±0.06), increased compared with group B (34±6)%, P<0.05;Also significantly higher than the C group (0.46±0.06), increased compared with group C 34±5)%, P<0.05;There were no significant differences of the group B and C, P>0.05.(3)Phosphorylated of Cx43 (P-Cx43)protein in smooth muscle tissue of the three groups were expressed, the group A of protein expression (0.72±0.11)was significantly higher than B group (0.35±0.07), increased compared with group B (38±15)%,P<0.05;Also significantly higher than the C group (0.36±0.09), increased compared with group C(36±7)%, P<0.05;There were no significant differences of the group B and C, P>0.05.Conclusions Uterine smooth muscle P-Cx43 expression associated with premature launch; reduce the expression of Cx43 phosphorylation may inhibit uterine smooth muscle contraction; progesterone on the expression of Cx43 phosphorylation may be the prevention and control down one of the mechanisms of preterm delivery.
