objective:To explore the realationship of tumor necrosis factor-αand solube tumor necrosis factor receptorⅠin infectious preterm labor. Methods:Acorrding to placental pathological results, patients of preterm labor were divided into preterm labor infectious group with chorioamnionitis and preterm labor noninfectious group without chorioamnionitis.Maternal serum levels of TNF-αand sTNFRⅠwere detected in 23 cases of the preterm labor infectious group with chorioamnionitis,27 cases of the preterm labor noninfectious group without chorioamnionitis and 25 cases of normal pregnancy (control group) by Double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results:The levels of marernal serum TNF-αand sTNFRⅠin preterm labor with chorioamnitis were significantly higher than those of preterm labor without chorioaminonitis and term labor(P<0.05). No signficant difference were observed between the levels of TNF-αand sTNFRⅠin the term labor and in the preterm labor without chorioamnionitis(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both maternal serum high levels of TNF-αand sTNFRⅠwere correlated with preterm labor caused by infection.Clinical monitoring the levels of TNF-αand sTNFRⅠchanges in maternal serum could be used as one of the diagnostic method for early prediction and diagnosis of preterm labor.
