Objective:To study the role of XIAP(X chromosome linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein) and Smac(second mitochondria-derived activator of caspase) in children hemangioma endothelial cells.Method:Thirty-one hemangioma specimens were classified by Mulliken's classification and the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).The expression of PCNA,XIAP and Smac were detected by immunohistochemistry method.Result:Hemagioma specimens were classified as 18 hemagioma proliferating phase specimens,13 hemagioma involuting phase specimens.In the hemagioma proliferating phase specimens,the IOD(integral optical density) of XIAP and Smac expressed were 2421.03±792.91,472.05±182.16.1n the hemagioma involuting phase specimens,the IOD of XIAP and Smac expressed were 443.24±105.15,2074.10±320.41.In the hemagioma proliferating phase specimens,the IOD of Smac expressed were obviously lower than the IOD in the proliferating phase specimens(P<0.01).In the hemagioma proliferating phase specimens,the IOD of XIAP expressed was obviously higher than the IOD in the involut-ing phase specimens(P<0.01).Meanwhile XIAP and Smac have negative correlation (r=-0.75,P<0.01).Conclusion:XIAP and Smac involve in hemangioma vascular endothelial cell apoptosis, the interaction may be result in hemangioma endothelial cells apoptosis.
