Objective:99Tcm–methoxyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) Myocardial perfusion imaging(MPI) was used to assess hearts of patients with myocardial bridging(MB) detected by 64 slices CT.Methods:62 patients, which were 45 with myocardial bridging and 17 were normal detected by 64 slices CT, were analyzed retrospectively .All patients underwent 99Tcm–MIBI myocardial perfusion images (17 performed in exercise and rest with myocardial bridging and all in rest) assessing myocardial ischemia ,function and wall motion. Imaging results were compared with myocardial perfusion imaging and coronary arteriography by 64 slices CT.Results:In 99Tcm–MIBI MPI,the patients with myocardial bridging detected by 64 slices, the prevalence of abnormal perfusion imaging by stress and rest with gated quantitative analysis and eyes evaluation was 64.7%(11/17), 41.2% (7/17), 42.2% (19/45),and 22.2%(10/45)respectively. there was a significant difference between gated quantitative analysis and eyes evaluation in rest(P<0.05).the prevalence of abnormal MPI assessing myocardial ischemia with myocardial bridging in rest was a significant difference in mural coronary artery on different depth and different situation(P<0.05).of abnormal perfusion imaging in 17 patients, the reversible perfusion defects, nonreversible defects and mixed defects in gated quantitative analysis were 4(35.3%),6(23.5%) and 1(11.8%) respectively. The reversed, reversible and nonreversible regional wall motion abnormalities in gated quantitative analysis were 4(23.5%),4(23.5%) and 2(11.8%) respectively. and the reversed, reversible and nonreversible regional wall thicking were 6(35.3%),5(29.4%) and 1(5.9%) respectively. There was not significantly different left ventricular ejection fraction and peak filling rate between myocardial bridging and normal control group in rest and stress images respectively(P>0.05).Conclusions:the gated myocardial perfusion imaging with single photon tomography may detect myocardial ischemia, evaluate the heart function and provide more information from a diagnostic viewpoint in accessing myocardial bridging.
