Objective: To study the expression of ribonucleotide reductase M1(RRM1),thyroid transcription factor-1(TTF-1) and other related clinical factors impacted on prognosis of NSCLC. Methods: Expression of RRM1 and TTF-1 in 27 cases paraffin-embedded pathological specimens and 53 cases formalin-fixed biopsy specimens of NSCLC Uygur patient was determined by Immunohistochemistry method in January 2004 to December 2008 in our hospital, furthermore to evaluat the value of each factors in the NSCLC survival analysis. SPSS 17.0 for windows software was used for statistics, x 2 test was used in the comparisons of rate, data were examined by Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test. The Cox regression was used to evaluate the expression ofTTF-1,RRM1and other related clinical factors influenced in survival rate. Results: Positive rate of RRM1 in NSCLC was not related with gender, age ,TNM stage and pathological type(P>0.05); Positive rate ofTTF-1 in NSCLC was not related with gender, TNM stage and age(P>0.05), The positive rate of adenocarcinoma was higher than it in the squamous cell carcinnoma's,the contrast has statistical significance(P<0.05),the TNM stage influence the prognosis of NSCLC in haplo-factor analysis(P<0.05),the expression of RRM1 and TTF-1 didn't influence the prognosis of NSCLC(P>0.05). Cox regression suggested that TNM stage was Independent factor influenced in prognosis of Uygur NSCLC patient, the expression of RRM1 and TTF-1 wasn't independent factor influenced in prognosis of Uygur NSCLC patient. Conclusions: The positive expression of TTF-1 in Uygur adenocarcinoma lung cancer patients was higher than Uygur squammous lung cancer patients ,the expression of TTF-I and expression of RRM1 didn't effect the survival of Uygur NSCLC patient , TNM stage could be important prognostic indicators in Uygur NSCLC patient.
