Objective: Postoperative gastrointestinal motility disorder are commonly found in various types of abdominal surgery, while a series of complications show after a long time inhibition of gastrointestinal motility, which affect the body's recovery. In recent years, studies have shown that: early postoperative recovery of gastrointestinal motility is conducive to promoting the body's recovery; early postoperative enteral nutrition is in line with the natural physiological requirements, early enteral nutrition is safer and reliable, which does not increase the risk of complications as anastomotic leakage, intra-abdominal infections and other serious problem. This task intends to select an end to end anastomosis model rat as an object of study, early postoperative enteral administrating Xiaochengqi mixture decoction added with dansheng herb to observe the effect of promoting the early gastrointestinal motility recovery by feeding Xiaochengqi mixture decoction after surgery, while evaluating the safety of this method.Materials and Methods: 30 rats were randomly divided into control group, metoclopramide group and Chinese decoction feeding group, and 10 rats in each group. Surgical Methods: lower abdominal incision, routine disinfection, followed by skin incision, white lines, peritoneal and enterocelia; finding ileocecal, transverse colon at 10cm away from the ileocecal, with h3-0-line thread, suturing full-thickness colonic, and repairing mesangial hole, straightening out the intestine and taking back to abdominal cavity, routine suturing abdominal layer one by one. After Consciousness, free feeding is permitted, since the first 6 hours, the control group fed with clean water, Chinese decoction group fed Xiaochengqi mixture decoction, metoclopramide group fed with metoclopramide. Metoclopramide dose per gavage in 3.0-3.4ml (containing metoclopramide 0.1mg). After surgery all the animals were gavaged once a day in the second or third day morning, On the 7th day, feeding D-xylose and sampling vein blood and taking laparotomy to observe the anastomotic circumstances, plasma ET levels, serum motilin levels, plasma IL-1 levels, plasma D-xylose content.Results:1. General observation of Anastomosis: In all groups, there were no significant intra-abdominal infection and intestinal sputum. Anastomotic adhesions score results: Compared with the control group, anastomotic score in two experimental groups shows a significant difference (P <0.05), no significant difference was shown in two model group (P> 0.05).2. Plasma IL-1 content: compared with the control group, the plasma IL-1 in Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group of was significantly decreased, the difference was significant (P <0.05), there is no significant difference between metoclopramide group and the control group (P> 0.05 ).3. Motilin content: compared with the control group, two experimental groups of serum motilin levels were significantly increased, the difference was significant (P <0.05), the difference between Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group and metoclopramide were significant (P "0.05). motilin in Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group was significantly higher than that of metoclopramide group.4. Plasma ET content: in Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group shows a significant decrease of plasma ET levels, the difference was significant (P <0.05), and there was no significant difference between metoclopramide group and the control group (P> 0.05). 5. Plasma D-xylose content: Compared with the control group, plasma D-xylose levels in two experimental groups were significantly higher, the difference was significant (P <0.05), there were significant differences between Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group and metoclopramide group (P <0.05). D-xylose in Xiaochengqi mixture decoction group was significantly higher than that of metoclopramide group.Conclusion:1, It is safe of feeding Xiaochengqi mixture decoction in early post colon anastomosis.2, Feeding Xiaochengqi mixture decoction in early post colonic anastomosis can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal motility.3. Feeding Xiaochengqi mixture decoction in early post colonic anastomosis can reduce the occurring extent of postoperative adhesion.4, endotoxemia, IL-1, motilin, anastomotic healing score, D-xylose content can be used as reliable evaluation indicators of gastrointestinal motility disorders in post abdominal surgery.
