ObjectiveTo evaluate the effects of Cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT) on emotional disorder and immune function in patients with breast cancer during the stage of operation, explore the function of the CBT, provide more theoretical and practical information of the CBT. With the help of the therapy, the patients will live better through the period.MethodsIn the experiment,55 patients were divided into two groups:intervention group(n=28) and the control group(n=27), Two groups of patients were treated with surgery, chemotherapy after the surgery for the first time and conventional health education, while the intervention group also with the cognitive-behavioral therapy, which mainly including psychological counseling, music therapy, relaxing their mind. Observe the changes of the two group patients' anxiety and depression and peripheral blood T lymphocyte subtypes of the pre-and post-intervention.ResultsThe SAS and SDS scores of the pre-and post-intervention showed no significant difference (P> 0.05) in the intervention group, which were same to the control group; after the intervention, the SAS, SDS score of the control group showed no significant difference than that in the control group (P> 0.05). However, the subtractions of the SAS and SDS scores before and after intervention in the intervention group showed significant difference than that in the control group (P<0.05).The immune function,CD3 CD4 and the ratio of the CD4/CD8 of the pre-and post-intervention, showed significant difference (P>0.05) in the intervention group, while CD8 showed no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05), which were the same to the control group; The CD3 CD4 CD8 and the ratio of the CD4/CD8 of the post-intervention, the intervention group had no significant difference between the control group (P<0.05) However, the CD3 CD4 CD8 and the ratio of the CD4/CD8 of the post-intervention were increased compared with the pre-intervention in the two groups, CD8 slightly decreased compared with the pre-intervention, and the intervention group CD3, CD4, CD8, CD4/CD8 of the intervention group changed slightly larger than the control group. In the intervention group, before the intervention, the SAS and SDS scores were linearly correlated with CD4/CD8, while were not linearly correlated with CD4 CD8; after the intervention, the SAS and SDS scores weren't linearly correlated with CD4 CD8 CD4/CD8.Conclusion1. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can improve the emotional status of patients with breast cancer during the stage of operation, especially the degree of depression.2. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can improve the immune function of patients with breast cancer during the stage of operation, but the impact is far less than other factors, such as surgical stress.3. The emotional state has some connection with the immune function, and only when the changes of the emotion reach to a level, the immune function will change subsequently.4. Cognitive-behavioral therapy have some clinical value for treating patients with breast cancer during the stage of operation. It can solve some psychological problems, such as the emotional problem which can not be solved by conventional methods. It also can improve the immune function of patients. For patients with breast cancer during the stage of operation, it provides more theoretical and practical information when using the psychological therapy.
