Objective:Radix Scrophulariae is the dried root of Scrophularianingpoensis Hemsl., with the function of cooling blood and purging fire for removing toxin. Which is used frequently in clinicalmedicine. The chemical ingredients of Radix Scrophulariae are fare volatile oils, Scrophulariaceae glycosides, plant sterols, oleicacid, linolenic acid, sugar, L-asparagine and alkaloids, etc., in which the Figwort glycosides with higher levels of composition. Literature reports its with anti-chronic inflammation, blood pressure, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-tumor effects and so on. The traditional post-harvest drying method is to semi-drying or baking, stacking 3 to 6 days, sweating, and then repeated severaltimes to dry. Such drying methods cycle, as long as 40 50 days, its efficiency is low, not suitable for production of traditionalChinese medicine industry, and there is questions like loss of medicinal decay, microbial contamination, the loss of activeingredients and so on. With the development of modern drying technology, there is a need to explore efficient drying technology used in traditional Chinese medicine production. This issue will be used in microwave vacuum drying of fresh drug figwort dry, compared with the traditional method to maximize the.degree to retain their active ingredients, improve the quality of medicines and to increase drying efficiency, to improve processing methods Scrophulariaceae concocting provide a scientific basis. Method:We have done a systematic study of a specific study of different drying process and its quality evaluation as follows:1. Different Drying TechnologyA Natural drying:According to the traditional craft fresh Scrophulariaceae drying during the day, piled up sweating at night, repeatedly until their texture, flexibility, internal dark.B Baking:Air Drying fresh figwort 1~2 days, placed in electric oven in the blast at 55℃under the baking to dry.C The microwave vacuum drying:Bring the fresh Scrophulariaceae in the microwave to dry under vacuum at 55℃.Reference to《Chinese Pharmacopoeia》(2005 version 1) provides for testing the contents of a systematic quality assessment, Including moisture, total ash, water-soluble and alcohol-soluble'extract, etc. And use harpagoside as an indicator of determination by HPLC of the dry samples, to compare the traditional vacuum drying and microwave drying process under the difference in the quality of Scrophulariaceae.2. Study of the best Microwave-Vacuum Technology:Divide into full-herbs direct drying and drying after slicing, each located 45℃,55℃,65℃the three different temperatures, by comparing the experimental analysis of the different drying methods of the quality indicators, includingwater-soluble solids,alcohol-soluble solids, and active principle harpagoside HPLC.3. The Security and Efficiency Assessment:Estimate the security of Scrophulariaceae by acute toxicology experiment. Estimate thedifference of validity by the two target of antiinflammatary and antipyretic effect.Result:1. The vacuum microwave drying of the quality indicators are the best, and vacuum microwave drying group harpagoside content, are much higher than the natural drying and baking group.2. The 65℃group content of the various indicators of temperature higher than that of other groups, in which the full-herbs direct drying indicators were higher than those of drying after slicing.3. There is no obvious toxic by the largest dose of intragastrically. The vacuum microwave drying group' s effect of antiinflammatary and antipyretic are batter than the natural drying group.In short, the subject brings the modern technology to the drying process of Scrophulariaceae. Specify the possible drying out figwort standardization process and its technical parameters. The subject of Hubei authentic herbs figwort of industrial development has provided an important theoretical basis, which will help the development of industrial base, thus promoting the development of the field of traditional Chinese medicine and innovation.
