The indoctrination theory was put forward by Marxist classical writers because of the need of the prevailing political struggle and ideological struggle, and its essence is a kind of rational knowledge from proletarian revolution between theory relationship and practice relationship, it is a theory and a principle on ideological and political education, and it is an education theory that the proletarian party use the Marxist stand, viewpoint and method to educate people purposefully and organized. With the development of period, the political and economic situation not only international but also domestic have changed dramatically, the indoctrination theory is denied as a theory which plug something into a brain in a hard-irrigation method and it is in an embarrassing situation. So it has great theoretical and practical significance to clarify the error understanding of the historical status of the indoctrination theory, to probe the contemporary value of the indoctrination theory and to study the realization path of the contemporary value of the indoctrination theory.Based on different views about the indoctrination theory from the academic, the paper use literature, comparative study, standard research and empirical research methods to probe related issues of indoctrination theory, the aim is to clarify the error understanding of the historical status of the indoctrination theory, to analyze the scientific meaning of the indoctrination theory and the development process of the indoctrination theory in China, to probe the contemporary value of the indoctrination theory and to further the study of the realization path of the contemporary value of the indoctrination theory.The Marxism indoctrination theory is a theory summary about indoctrination practice, it provide theoretical basis for indoctrination activities, and it has a function of theoretical guidance for the indoctrination method on a practical level, namely how to choice and use indoctrination method, how to determine the indoctrination contents; its scientific contents includes the need on the inculcation---that is Why inculcation should be done; the contents on the inculcation---What should be instilled; the ways on the inculcation---How to instill that. The paper has its view based on further development process of indoctrination theory in China, it views that the persistence of indoctrination theory is a summary of the experiences and lessons from Chinese proletarian parties historically, it views the persistence of indoctrination theory is a premise that insure the right direction of proletarian parties for ideological and political education; in the new historical period, it is a need in the realities of the day to persist the indoctrination theory that strengthen and improve ideological and political work, it is a natural movement to persist the indoctrination theory that build the core value system about socialism at the moment, it is also an inevitable choice to persist the indoctrination theory that deal with the international developments. When the indoctrination theory is used, some problems still exist, for example: indoctrination vectors get behind, indoctrination ways are too monotonous, indoctrination contents are short of innovation, the main quality of inculcator needs to be improved etc; the realization path of the contemporary value of Marxism indoctrination theory should include: improvement of thinking and understanding in instilling, optimization in instilling vectors, richness in instilling contents, innovative in instilling methods, improvement of the comprehensive quality for inculcators...
