The direct source of the Mandate of Heaven in the Doctrine of the Mean is Confucius' s theory of "nature and providence".Confucius put the Nature and Destiny which is high above all and theological down to the Human Nature,Humanity.In the Zhou dynasty,it is generally accepted that only the Kings can join together of the heaven but in Confucius' s thought everyone can do this,so that the meaning of the Mandate of Heaven has the Universal significance.The Mandate of Heaven in the Doctrine of the Mean unities the Mandate of Heaven and human nature on the basis of the view inherited Confucius destiny for the first time,which is significant for the posterity to understand the Mandate of Heaven,Human Nature,the relationship between heaven and man.The Mandate of Heaven in the Doctrine of the Mean is based on the Theory of Providence and Human Nature.The Mandate of Heaven in the Doctrine of the Mean unities “fate,nature,path,indoctrination”.This process is just the spread of the indoctrination of the Doctrine of the Mean,in another words,the process of practicing of the basic values of being a man.This “path”is the unify of the Human Nature and Providence.The Confucian Cultivation's attention is on “being the self”,it means one can achieve the Morality of Nature,then everyone can do this.The process of the show of the Morality of Nature is just the combination of “becoming the self” and “becoming the object”.It is also the function of the indoctrination of the Doctrine of the Mean.The article " The administration of government lies in getting proper men.Such men are to be got by means of the ruler's own character.That character is to be cultivated by his treading in the ways of duty.And the treading those ways of duty is to be cultivated by the cherishing of benevolence" in the Doctrine of the Mean is reveals the Morality of Nature,that is to say "benevolence".Benevolence is the most basic idea of the Confucian the morality of nature,which is also the highest Confucian morality of nature.Being a human is "benevolence",which begins from the closest family members.The way to be benevolence is Loyalty and Forgiveness with inner concentration.So in the daily life,everyone should practice the nature of the Doctrine of the Mean,Unity of Heaven and Man,realize the meaning of the people,make people“becoming the self”.In a word,the Mandate of Heaven in the Doctrine of the Mean is theory principle of its indoctrination.The indoctrination of the Doctrine of the Mean is actually a complete yourself,realize the Mandate of h\Heaven,its also the process and way to response to the Mandate of Heaven.The significance of it is to make everyone can be united heaven and man by learning the basic values of being a man,everyone is possible to become Yao and Shun.
