The Miao Embroidery which from the Miao minority's live, work and insights of nature, with deep cultural heritage is one of Miao minority's traditional handicrafts in China Guizhou Province. Miao Embroidery have complex process, fine workmanship, rich subjects and bright color, it's also have clear and simple composition. It is different from the traditional four famous embroideries in China and has a unique ethnic styles and techniques, it's really a unique Chinese embroidery.Although the techniques of the Miao embroidery is rich but many techniques are inherited the old tradition and relatively fixed, is not conducive to grasp; Some embroidery designs is relatively old and do not meet the requirements of modern aesthetics. Therefore we should simplify or improve certain processes with modern lifestyles; And we should also demonstrate the artistic features and glamour of Chinese culture keeping up with the times.In terms of the demonstrating needs, the writer has made the following arrangements: Part 1: The introduction of the purpose of this study'significance, status, methods, and defining the relevant concepts; Part 2: The introduction of Miao Embroidery's history, and analysis its main characteristics, modern development in different times; Part 3: From the Miao Embroidery's practical function and aesthetic features to analysis its reasonable applying in haute couture. At the same time from a point of view of the haute couture's design, especially the decorative craft designs, to emphasis the needs of Miao Embroidery; Part 4: In the Miao Embroidery application process, the writer draw lessons from the use of traditional Miao embroidery's in haute couture and then try to find a reasonable ways of the Miao Embroidery's appliance on haute couture.
