Jianghan floods frequently under the influence of a combination of the nature and society factors, And these two factors had resulted the flooding in Jianghan shows concentrated in time or seasonal and a higher frequency of occurrence compare to ealier features of Ming Dynasty. Shown in space mainly in the southeast of Jingzhou Prefecture, south of Tian Fu Cheng, Wuchang, Hanyang government and the entire northern part of government characteristics of the area. The frequent flood in Jianghan had a tremendous impact to the local community, these impacts include: endangering lives and public properties, and the secondary hazards caused by floods. Facing the enormous damages of flood, the Jianghan's community had actively done both response and prevention to the matter. In term of prevention, they have water conservancy construction, warehousing and ecological construction. The reponses include: national response, and civil response. Government work through charities, religious sacrifices and worship, as well as the establishment of raising JI Institute, leakage Park, Huimin Pharmacy be disaster relief. Civil society is to take the victims to help themselves and enriching way to overcome the disaster relief in order to maintain social order and to make Jianghan's community the most important position throughout the Ming Dynasty history.
