With the development of economy and the improvement of living standards,people's requirement of dress is increasingly reflected in the functional clothes. As a special profession,chefs need to deal with fire and oil in a long time. Thus , It is easy to occur fires, threatening their lives. Chef Uniform,as a product chefs contact for a longest time, should serve as a safeguard to chefs. However ,there are various kinds of chef uniforms at home presently,but mostly just dedigning on patterns and pictures,not starting from the demand of chefs to make a breakthrough in functionality. These can't meet the urgent demand of chefs.This paper takes the polysulfonamide fabrics (PSF)as research subject, uses leaching gadolinium process and applies the orthogonal experiment to make a water-and oil-repellent rating for the treated fabric. The purpose is to research the influence of PSF both before and after water-and oil-repellent on wearability such as fabric style. Based on optimal finishing plan, the design for chef uniform in terms of color,picture,pattern ,structure and so on, mainly embodies in the following five aspects:(1)The background of the thesis is analyzed, and the content ,purpose and significance of this thesis are pointed out. Furtherly, the research steps are outlined. Through collection and analysis of literature, research-related knowledge was reserved as a final design theoretical support.(2)Through the market research for working environment of chefs and chef uniform status, the problems of chef uniform existing in current market is founded. Meanwhile , surveying the target customers to find out the problems they care most,thus pointing out three new functions involved in chef uniform design of this thesis-- heat resistant, flame retardent, water and oil repellent.(3)AOF water and oil repellent finishing agent is adopted to analyze the water-and oil-repellent rating of PSF. W/R(water repellent )uses 3M-â…¡-1988 water testing standard system, O/R(oil repellent) uses AATCC-118-1983 oil testing standard system and homemade oil-repellent test fluid. Then , optimal technique parameters are obtained with orthogonal experiment in order to verify the validity of water-and oil-repellent function.(4) Using KESFB - AUTO - A fabric style evaluation system to test fabric compression,bending,pulling,cutting indexes and to test the performances of fabric after treating,such as durable-washing property and air permeability. Then the optimal finishing effect is gained. Finally, optimize and design through comparing to the fabric before treating,(5) Design chef uniform according to the optimal finishing plan selected finally. Then make the design more improve through the changing of color,picture,pattern and struture. At last ,achieve the design principles of chef uniform and the development tendency of PSF. Through analysis of the thesis, we have a deeper understanding of functional polysulfonamide chef uniforms and it's effect on wearing properties after treating. Finally , a conclusion is come to that the best technological conditions of PSF water-and oil-repellent .
