Although Chinese lacks of the form of symbols and patterns in the strict sense,Chinese has its own particular way of expressing the concept of time in other languages.In addition to focusing on the relationship of meaning and expression,some special patterns in Chinese,are very flexible in grammar and diverse in expressing,which are the difficult points for oversea students,and the important points for research.Achieved "shi...de"sentence patterns is discovered rare so far which can express the time and tense. So it is one of the important point of the teaching chinese as second language.In researching on this sentence pattern and the acquisition order will help us difine the second language learner's "inner outline",then usr the relevant teaching strategies and methods.Firstly, this dissertation will find out reasions of bias error in learning this sentence patterns through analysing th bias errors of oversea students. On this basis, we use the corpus and questionnaire method to inverstigate the acqusition order of this sentence patterns of three different levels(elementary,secondary and tetiary) of Chinese proficiency as well as their characteristics.To our research,elementary learners can acquire basic patterns;secondary learners gradually acquire those comparatively difficult patterns with certain pragmatic functions;and teritary learners start to acquire the sentence patterns with a deviate from the conventional and with complex pragmatic functions.Futher, this paper examines the achieved "shi…de"sentence patterns by HSK outline of Grammar and textboods used in teaqching Chinese as a second language.By contrasting these findings and the acquisition order we have made out in the former section,this paper points out the weaknesses of some textbooks and proposes some constructional suggestions,which may be benificial to teaching of Chinese as a second language as well as textbook compiling for it.
