Studies On Peasants' War Of Sun Zuomin

Studies on peasants'war were prominent during early 1950s and at the end of 80s in the twentieth century. Sun Zuomin is an expert who had a great achievement in the research on peasants'war., especially on the theory of history of peasants'war and case study. By adopting method of comparative study, this paper systematically analyzes his research on power of peasants, Royalty and the historical role of peasants'war and its concession policy, and peasants'war in the final years of Ming Dynasty, exploring the weak points and strong points of his research. Finally, the paper offers a reasonable and objective evaluation on his studies. However, in the 90s, there were few studies on the peasants'war, which is one of the "Five Golden Flower". This study also demonstrates the reasons of this abnormal phenomenon. At the same time, it reflects the historic development in the twentieth century of our country. Summarizing the characteristics of history research and drawing lessons from that are beneficial explorations for further research on historiography.
