The System's Establishment And Development Of Vocabulary Specifications In Modern Chinese Dictionary

Modern Chinese Dictionary is a medium-sized Modern Chinese Dictionary for the purpose of determine the vocabulary specifications of standard Chinese. From the publication date, it has outstanding contributions in the vocabulary specification, But lack of discuss in standardization theory of Language Dictionary. In this paper, We use letter D entries of " Probationary Version","Amendment Version", "fifth edition Version"as research material,from the collection of words ,shape, interpretation three aspects discussing the system's establishment and development of vocabulary specifications in Modern Chinese Dictionary .While in the process of discuss vocabulary specifications,discuss the relationship between standardization of language dictionaries and social life ,the theory of standardization of Language Dictionary.This article is divided into six parts:Introduction, including the status, purpose and meaning, of the guiding ideology, theory, research materials and research methods and other issues.The first chapter, the establishment and development of collection of words in Modern Chinese Dictionary. Mainly as add or delete entries. Analyzed situation of words collection in each version ,and then compared and analyzed the situation of words collection in each version. In the frequency authentication of words collection of the three versions, we mainly use the People's Daily Corpus (1946-2000) and the People's Network Discovery Channel (2001-2010), Mainly on the entry that "Amendment version " delete "Probationary version", and the "fifth edition version "re-recorded original entry of "Probationary version"The second chapter, the establishment and development of word shape in Modern Chinese Dictionary . This chapter writes according"partial to total"structure . Analyzed situation of variant words collection in each version ,and then compared and analyzed the situation of variant words collection in each version.Three versions Modern Chinese Dictionary has two cases in word shape specification: consistency and change.Compared with"Amendment Version","fifth edition Version"are more complex and more refined. Modern Chinese Dictionary also very cautious in other word shape. The third chapter, the establishment and development of meaning in Modern Chinese Dictionary . This chapter discuss from three aspects : the base meaning, accompany justice, justice domain. Analyzed situation of base meaning in each version ,and then compared and analyzed the base meaning in each version. The study of accompany justice, justice domain also like this way. Modern Chinese Dictionary as one of the most influential language dictionary, its outstanding contributions is the accuracy of interpretation. Modern Chinese Dictionary Interpretation Amendment is a process of gradual improvement, focusing on the contact with language of lsocial life.The fourth chapter, the issues of Modern Chinese Dictionary vocabulary specification system. This chapter discuss the following issues on the basis of above three chapters : development and changes of meaning;the trends of words collection and interpretation in Modern Chinese Dictionary;the role of Modern Chinese Dictionary in building a harmonious society language life;the factors of vocabulary specification,etc.Conclusions, summarized the research and prospects the follow-up study.
