| It is not unnecessary to notice the intrinsic connection between ancient calligraphy education and modern calligraphy education, though there are numerous differences between them in the respect of their connotation and denotation. Modern calligraphy education dates back to the Han Dynasty over 2,000 years ago, when not only relatively perfect private schools and official schools had been formulated, gradually valued family education and initially constructed self education had also been started. In other words, the calligraphy education "type" has basically taken shape. "Four-in-one" education teaching system, proposed in the calligraphy education field, seems to be back to the ancient times. In fact, it is not so. Because Chinese calligraphy, one of world's cultural heritage, the author believes, would flourish on condition that calligraphy education type gets out of mature type in the Han Dynasty and prosperous type in the Tang Dynasty just in the same way as calligraphy art development processes from the three phases: the experienced deriving form the inexperienced; the inexperienced followed by the experienced; the futher experienced after the inexperienced. Besides, the author perceives "Ancient calligraphy education is the basis of study on calligraphy history", " Calligraphy education is the most fundamental condition for calligraphy art development" and so on. Consequently, the author attempts to start the research from the Han Dynasty, when calligraphy education gradually turned into conscious type, in order to explore a gradually perfect calligraphy education type. Meanwhile, since history is a mirror of the present, study of ancient calligraphy education not only can give us a glimpse of the ancient calligraphy education situation, also can give us some inspiration about modern calligraphy education. The study on calligraphy education of the Han Dynasty aims at finding opportunities embodying modern value so as to strengthen discipline construction of modern calligraphy education in a better way and to promote prosperity of calligraphy development. |
