Shuo Wen Jie Zi compiled by Xu Shen in the Easten Han is China's first dictionary which analysize grapheme, explain the meaning of character and distinguish sound in the history of linguistics. Shuo Wen Jie Zi came into being and it gradually lose its true appearance for people's private addition and deletion or error caused during the process of circulation, copy and carving of the original version. It is precious to have Shuo Wen Jie Zi Xi Zhuan by XuKai and Shuo Wen Jie Zi byXuXuan today, however unavoidable errors, proof Shuo Wen is still be an important part in the research of Shuo Wen.Tang Wu Dai Yun Shu was finished before Shuo Wen Jie Zi revised by LiYangbing ,so the entries cited from Shuo Wen retained the original appearance of Shuo Wen, and it is the treasured material for collating Shuo Wen. There are 851 places cited from ShuoWen, add up to769 characters and the thesis researches 413 entries of lexical meaning from Shuo Wen while studying the developments and changes of Tang Wu Dai Yun Shu.This paper is divided into three parts: the first chapter is the introduction which mainly discusses its origin and meaning, the current research status of Shuo Wen, the materials and methods being applied. The second chapter is Tang Wu Dai Yun Shu focuses on the purposes and compiled format of Shuo Wen,classify and collate the entries cited from Shuo Wen. The third chapter is the conclusion which evaluate the current version and summarize the developments and changes of Tang Wu Dai Yun Shu through this statistical data.
