A Tentative Research On Stitching Functions Of The Mainstream Ideology

With the classic Marxist literature as reference and under the basic principles and methods of historical materialism this thesis proposes a preliminary study of main-stream ideology and its stitching function and how it is realized, meanwhile it elaborates the premise and mechanisms of stitching function of main-stream ideology and reveals basic features of formation and development of the main-stream ideology. Based on this, the thesis proposes basic measures to solve the problems in our country .Firstly, based on fact itself the concepts of the awareness, social awareness and ideological are clarified. As a specific form of social consciousness, ideology is not only rooted in social existence, but also inevitably reflects and upholds the common interests of specific groups. In social reality, different classes and interest groups always rely on the thinkers who can represent their position, using a variety of ways of propaganda and infiltration of their values and social aspirations among the common people. Once such demands, ideas and ethics form concept system in a certain population, they constitute the ideology of a particular interest group. The mainstream ideology is the dominant ideology in a specific period of time. In the process of social development, it conforms to the social development and presents the dominant ideology which holds the production of a particular class or group interests .Through a brief exposition of Zizek's suture theory and the actual inspection of ideology the thesis describes the concrete manifestation of the stitching function of main-stream ideology. The mainstream ideology is not suture ideology or reality, but shows the suture of confrontation and division of the existing ideology with conflict and division of reality itself .Specifically, the suture function of mainstream ideology is: In the framework of the mainstream ideology, the ideological factors obtain the possibility of explanation, thus achieve the suture of a variety of non-mainstream ideology and ideological factors; by discourse in the theoretical system and effective results that have been found in the practice of ideologues, making all other ideologies and ideological factors close to it in order to achieve the value of convergence of various social classes and the various interest groups, thus forming a society's core values, common norms and consensus on social development trends, making the mainstream ideology a spiritual support, and gathering strength and spiritual power which has a broad consensus of groups in the real world.Secondly, based on the discusssion of the mainstream ideology and its stitching function, consciousness of human consciousness and theory of consciousness allow people to produce a desire to understand, accept or even study the mainstream ideology, which is the process of accepting and identifying the mainstream ideology, making all the mainstream ideology of the times almost naturally have the stitching function and role that stitching function plays in specific ways and forms. The mainstream ideology can become the mainstream ideology itself because of the history force. On this basis, once mainstream ideology is formed, it will participate in the force of history. In this process, consciousness, thinking and values constitute the most critical part in the ideological impact of these effects. The guidance of Marxism-Leninism is the ideology of socialism in China's mainstream ideology. Besides the accurate positioning illustrated above, this paper analyses the reasons of poor play of stitching function of mainstream ideology, and further proposes the main measures to solve the problem.
