A Contrastive Study On Equality Comparison Structure "as…as" And Its Corresponding Structure"跟……一样"

There are equality comparison structures both in English and Chinese. On the basis of previous studies, this paper intends to compare the most common structure"as…as"and its corresponding structure"跟……一样"to finds out those differences and similarities in syntax, semantics and pragmatics. This article will be helpful for second language teaching and English-Chinese, Chinese-English translation.There are five chapters in this article:Chapter 1: Introduce the reason why I choose this topic and the result of previous research; limit the range of study; illuminate the origin of the corpus, statistical and research methods.Chapter 2: Compare the general usage of the two structures, and asserts that this two structures can serve as subject, object and attributive, however, some component parts don't corresponds completely All of this will be helpful for the translation.Chapter 3: Compare the structures in syntactic features, we believe that comparison item in"as…as"and"跟……一样"could be NPs,prepositions structure and subject-predicate clauses. When comparison item in"as…as"is gerund, its corresponding will be verbs, predicate-complement.Former comparative item and latter comparative is homology or similar in semantic both in"as…as"and"跟……一样".At last, compare the substitution and abbreviation of comparative item, as well as"as…as"and"跟……一样"in structure linear,Chapter 4: Explicate the compare point and comparison results. And then discusses the semantic relations between former comparative item, latter comparative item and comparative point. Make a deep analysis of looming problems of the compare point.Chapter 5: Summarize the content, points out the shortcomings and what should be done next.
