As a new vision technology appearing in the new century, Digital Photography has powerful dominance in technique, commerce and artistic creation. Digital Photography totally eliminated the contradictions between graphic design and imaging representation in commercial photography. As a result, the digital photographs'forms and connotation possessed limitless possibilities in the application to graphic advertisement, and promoted the appearance of graphic design products which are excellent and attractive. There are more and more importance are attaching on the application of intersection and interaction between digital photography and ads graphic design to advertising and mass media. As an important method and media for ads transmission, on the premises of transmitting commercial information, the digital photography technology has formed beautiful literate scenery and been a necessary for vision.This study hopes to combine with the updated expertise and technical information, and acquaint digital photography's perspective in the application to graphic advertisement, and its contribution to ads transmission. Sticking to this point, this article started with its application practice to search how digital photography has advantages in graphic advertisement design and creation process, and made an intersectant analysis with traditional photography. Some new art features brought by digital photography, such as surrealism and originality-first, were dissected. Associating with the current instances, analyzed and summarized the principle for practice and post-process when digital photography applied in graphic advertisement design. Thus the active and effective work model for graphic designer and digital photographer's cooperation can be worked out, and then provides preferable theoretical instructions and references. In this way, the traditional aesthetics, composition and light can be used sufficiently when digital photography applied in graphic advertisement, but also an equilibrium point can be obtained between the newest digital graphic media (edition included) and interactive multimedia. And digital photography will achieve an infinite superiority in commercial, and graphic advertisement design will get an ideal market effect.
