The Construction And Preliminary Application On Competence Model Of University Counselor

University counselors are an important component part of the Ideological and Political Education in the backbone, have the appoint of training and bringing up the important task of high-quality person. The competence of the counselors determine the training quality level of university students, therefore the State gives great importance to university counselors.Lack of scientific and systematic selection, training, assessment and security mechanisms, The university counselor's current situation of team and state of working are not good. Based on the competence of theory, the research is to explore the competence model of university counselors and provide evidence for counselor recruitment, training and assessment.In this study, literature analytic method, behavioral event interviews, expert interviews, questionnaires and other methods are used to construct the competence model of university Counselors. The study uses other-evaluation that the university students evaluate their counselor, to investigate the competence of the counselors. The result shows the university counselor competence by 8 dimensions: job attitudes and quality, work ability, job art, achievement orientation, political integrity, professional knowledge, extraversion and vitality.Finally, we use the events from behavioral event interviews with college counselors to process situations construction and gather responses among different university counselors.
