The Study On The Construction And Verification Of The University Assistant Counselor's Competency Model

University assistant counselor,is the excellent senior students selected from high school,who assist counselors' work,help the junior students better adapt the life of university and improve academic performance and out of psychological distress,they are the bridge and link between counselors and students.The purpose of this study was to establish university assistant counselor's competency model,to assist in the selection of assistant counselor and training mechanisms,has a strong practical and theoretical significance.This study is based on the literature review and open questionnaire,to collect the competency of assistant counselor,and use behavioral event interview to interview university assistant counselors randomly selected,in order to establish university assistant counselor's competency model.According to this model set the university assistant counselor self-assessment questionnaire.Exploratory factor analysis was used after the data processing,forming university assistant counselor's competency formal questionnaire,and finally validate the model after the confirmatory factor analysis,and make study of the differences in demographic variables of the university assistant counselor competency,conclusions are set out blow :(1)Establish competency model of university assistant counselor includes the following dimensions:Interpersonal and coordination,learning ability,organizational leadership,self psychological management,team consciousness;(2)Verified the university assistant counselor competency model and the preparation of "university assistant counselor competency model of self-assessment questionnaire",reliability and validity are perfit;(3)An assistant university counselor competency differences on demographic variables.Gender peer counselors Universities differ in two dimension;there are differences on different grades of University assistant counselor dimension.
