At the mid- and late- Ming dynasty, with the development of new schools of philosophy, citizen class grew stronger, so the creation of light literature had developed rapidly. Based on the high achievement of accumulative river novels, the short stories in vernacular succeeded to the experience of Song-Yuan script for story, to reach a new stage of the creation on vernacular stories and form the national styles and national manner. In the field of literature research, these short stories in vernacular were named simulant script for story. Feng Menglong, popular litterateur in the Ming Dynasty, collected lots of popular scripts for story, included Song-Yuan script for story, script for story in the Ming Dynasty, and Feng Menglong's own works, and edited"Clear Words to Illustrate the World","Ordinary Words to Warn the World", and"Lasting Words to Awaken the World", named"Sanyan".Feng Meng-long was born in the Suzhou area, where the society was stable, prosperous, and civilized since the mid- Ming dynasty. Influenced by aesthetic fashion, creative motivation, and author's own mentality, Feng Menglong formed his specific literary values. As an adherent of Confucianism, he was deeply influenced by the thought of"beauty of neutralization". Consequently, his"Sanyan"embodied aesthetic taste and aesthetic ideas of"beauty of neutralization". Under the infiltration of his ideology, the fictions'narrative mode always shows the happy ending, as a result, his fiction has social and cultural functions of"exhorting kindness, punishing evil, and educating everyone". On the other hand, as a feudal writer, Feng's unenlightened thought was also embodied in his'Sanyan".This research mainly discusses"Sanyan"and its'"beauty of neutralization", and can be divided into the following parts:Introduction: This research summarizes the background of "Sanyan" and the complicated thoughts of Feng Menglong. It reviews the recent research of "Sanyan", especially the pros and cons of the research on "Sanyan" &"beauty of neutralization".Chapter 1 mainly discusses the"beauty of neutralization"of the emotions & rations in "Sanyan". Section 1 illustrates from the level of"love oriented" and"emotional education". Feng Menglong considers love as the precondition of the practice of Confucianism, and Confucianism is the internalization of love. Section 2 discusses the combination of love & appetite, filial piety & benefit, loyalty & benefit from the love between men & women, father & son, and the love between friends in "Sanyan", and explores the combination of emotions & rations from individual cases.Chapter 2 mainly discusses the aesthetic emotion and"beauty of neutralization"embodied in"Sanyan". From the perspectives of happy ending and the consciousness on tragedy and comedy, the chapter suggests the aesthetic emotion of"ping, he, ya, zheng"in"Sanyan". In the fictions'plot structure, Feng Menglong released the conflicts in the real life, through the integration of happy ending and the consciousness on tragedy and comedy, to give readers the spirit solace."Sanyan"summarized the internal harmony and unity between man and man, heaven and man, man and society, from aesthetic field fully reflects the literature as a social ideology.Chapter 3 exposes the beauty of Sanyan's Yunsan combination, neutralization and simplicity. The language of "Sanyan" entertains gigmanity's aesthetic taste, and meanwhile caters for Confucian's elegant style, and hence the forms of language are normative, and popular on the other hand. The slang makes it vivid and entertaining. Section 1 shows the simplicity of the language of "Sanyan" by exploring the use of slangs & vulgarisms. Section 2 concludes the unification of Sanyan's normative and popular language by exploring the use of poem rhymes.
