The Research Ofyanyu's Verse Theory

Yan Yu's CangLangShiHua is a well known theory work of poetry. There were sharp opinion,strong theory and complete system in the Poem Theory of Canglang. It greatly changed the old poetic criticism and has a great influence on the development of the future poetic criticism. Yanyu's sharp opinion aimed to the vogue of the parnassus that time.With the company attaches great importance to distinguish verse, he specially set up the chapter named"verse from"and classify poem verse from the angle of times, poets, system and so on.The thesis reviewed the research all of the 20th century.Whether the mainland , overseas or hong kong and taiwan ,the research centre is in the sense of Poem Distinguishes.But not enough attention into the research of his verse theory. No doubt,such a situation has to be made to changed.The first section analyses the theorical origin and the valuation of his verse theory.It emerged on the basis of his previous theory.His verse theory absorb the quintessence and do a comprehensive summary. Eventually,it formed a systematic and informative theory of verse.The second section discusses the contents of CangLangShiHua's verse theory through the analysis of the period,poet and literary form.His epochal style theory claimed to learn the poem of ShengTang dynasty. And the tang dynasty poem is divided into five phases, have established a framework for the development of Tang poem. The theory of poet's taste distingguished the style between different poets.He advocated the poets of ShengTang,such as Li Bai,Du Fu and Wang Wei,but he opposed Su Shi and Huang Tingjian.The third section analyses the relation between Yan Yu's verse theory and his poetry. Yan Yu's poetry from the system, content and the art characteristics have scored some achievements.His poetry imitated the poetry of Han and Tang dynasty.Yan Yu's verse theory which has complete regulations, rich connotations and innovative ideas has great value on the development of Chinese verse theory.It's a fertile ground which calls for a further excavation.
