Study On The Styles Of Metrical Verse In Tang Dynasty

Since the appearance of metrical verse in Tang Dynasty, it has become a focus in the circle of poetand critic. Based on the development and evolution history of metrical verse in Tang Dynasty, this thesisexplores theoretical writings of the poetic style research on the metrical verse by scholar in Tang and laterdynasty, also this thesis summarizes and analysis the poetic style of metrical verse in Tang Dynasty.Firstly, this chapter textual researches the origin and appearance time of the Five Characters Poemsand the Seven Characters Poems. The development of metrical patterns and dualization of the FiveCharacters Poems in QiLiang period provides prerequisite conditions for the rising of metrical verse inTang Dynasty, at the same time, parallel sentence of the Seven Characters Poems also make the poemsbecomes more ShengLv and NianDui. After the appearance of "Shi Hua", which is a special form ofliterature in Song Dynasty, the poet’s style-discriminating thought becomes more strongly. In StandardForms of Chinese Regular Verse by Wang ShiZhen, he firstly summarize in category about the level andoblique tones of the metrical verse, he created a paradigm to learn and reference, however, it is out of rulefor the poets creation in Tang Dynasty.Secondly,the thesis summarize poetic style feature of the Five-Characters Poems and theSeven-Characters Poems, and detailed analysis the specific poet creation in Tang dynasty. The poeticstyle features of the Five-Characters Poems are short length of article, fine beautiful,the whole refinedsentence and strong strength of character; The poetic style features of the Seven-Characters Poems are longlength of article, fluent sentence and have a thorough knowledge of cut-through.Finally, this thesis discusses the broken body and the variant forms of the metrical verse in TangDynasty, which influencing on the poet styles. Also the thesis analysis the several types of flexed changesof the metrical verse in Tang Dynasty and its impact of the poet style. At the same time, through theanalysis of using the ancient poetry’s skills into the metrical verse and using the metrical verse’s skills intothe ancient poetry, this thesis mainly discusses the merit rating of writing metrical verse in Tang dynasty byway of ancient poet. The paper demonstrates "taking the words as poem"(begins from The Book of Songs and refined by Bai Juyi) and "Taking Prose as Poem "(not initiate by Han Yu, but begins from Li Bai andDu Fu), however,"taking prose as poem" has had a huge impact on the poetic style in Song Dynasty.
