Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is an important branch of Jiangxi Tea-picking Opera, whose stage performance is funny but unmannered, abundant in local characteristics. The phonology of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is investigated systematically in this thesis. In the paper, we acquire the phonology of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera and Ji'an dialect by investigating. By comparing the phonology of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera to the Ji'an dialect, we deduce that their phonology systems are in strong consistency. Furthermore, the relation between tone and tune in Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is discussed, and that music for voices in Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is based on tonal language is concluded.Through comparison and analysis, we obtain these conclusions as below. First of all, the stage language of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is a social dialet which is formed in the foundation of Ji'an dialect. Secondly, the tone of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is in harmony with its tune. Thirdly, the pronunciation of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera is the product of Ji'an dialect transforming to "literacy" and "mandarin".Moreover, the stage language of Ji'an Tea-picking Opera should persist local dialect features while is affected by mandarin. Finally, it is benefit for the development and specification by looking into the phonology in Ji'an Tea-picking Opera.
