On The Miao Nationality Of Xiangxi In Shen Congwen's Literary Works

Shen Congwen was born and raised in the late Qing Dynasty,Western Hunan juntun town of Feng Huang,the grandmother is also Miao nationality.Miao village,Feng Huang is inhabited by the Miao and Han,his blood and his growing environment makes his special feelings about Xiangxi Miao,Shen Congwen later also to Miao himself.In Shen Congwen's literary works,there are a large number of production and life of love and marriage of Xiangxi Miao nationality religious belief and other aspects of content description,although these descriptions with author's subjective,are fragmented,but it is an important material for us to research on the 20s and 30s century Xiangxi Miao's history and folklore studies.This paper from the double perspectives of literature and folklore,and summarizes the descriptions of Xiangxi Miao Nationality in Shen Congwen's literary works,its return to the activities of production,life custom,marriage,funeral activities,religious activities,a total of five aspects,and compared to the same period with Xiangxi Miao folk material and the related contents in Shen Congwen's literary works were studied and the screening system,provides a new reference for the twentith century,the 20s and 30s Xiangxi Miao history and folklore studies.
