Research On Chinese Classical Aesthetic Category "Jing"

"Jing",the artistic conception of Chinese Classical aesthetic category, which is getting many researches currently, is the mature ideal aesthetic category of Chinese nation. In its origin, it is much emphasized that Taoism, Buddhism ,Metaphysics have great influence over it, but the important role of the world spirit in Confucianism has been neglected. In its logical development, it has been much studied along Wang Changling,Jiao Ran, SikongTu, but it has seldom been studied on the historical background of the whole Chinese cultural development. On the basis of its reference of many theories, this text tries to find out the national cultural reasons of its origin, and historical driving factors and development rule of the logical development on the principle of unity of theory and practice,of unity of history and logics, taking the origin and logical development of artistic conception as research object, taking the relevant aesthetic theory and typical works as research materials, taking its cultural accumulation, as a linguistic sign,in the Chinese language as contact point, appealing to the research methods of genetics, sociology, systematology, etc. This text tries to grasp the general characteristics of the logical development of the aesthetic category conception on the historical background of the Chinese cultural development, and hopes to better understand the historical factors of the origin and logical development of the artistic conception.The text consists of four parts in which the second and third chapters are the key points.The first chapter, introduction. It mainly introduces the significance, research status and tendency of the artistic conception, and the purpose and meaning of the research of this text. The second chapter mainly discusses the origin of the artistic conception"Jing". It consists of three aspects, the word meaning of conception and the value of single character, the conception thinking and social language enhancement, the conception idea and philosophical concept guidance. It emphasizes the national reasons of the generation of the artistic conception, that is to say,on the basis of the production methods of farming first which was decided by the residential environment in the closed Chinese mainland and the philosophic concept of harmony of man and nature thereof,the universal spirit of naturalism,the philosophic idea of creation of images for full expression, the idea of honoring emptiness and respecting teachings of Taoism and Metaphysics which is catching meaning while forgetting words and imageries, as well as the universal connotation accumulated by the conception are the radical reasons why the conception can become aesthetic category. The prevailing and vulgarizing Buddhism works as catalytic effect for its generation,and affects the life spirit of the creative subject from inside.The third chapter mainly discusses the inherent law and general characteristics of logical development of the aesthetic category about artistic conception in Chinese classic aesthetic history. It is divided into three phases in accordance with the rule of unity of history and logics: content conception (from the pre-Qin period to the end of Han dynasty)—the conception of naturalism following etiquette, artistic conception(from Wei and Jin dynasties to the mid of Ming dynasty)—the conception of emphasizing nature and searching truth,passion conception(from the mid of Ming dynasty to modern time)—the conception of respecting emotion and emphasizing desire. Each phase is demonstrated from four aspects respectively. The content conception includes idea expression and mind excursion,admiring moral and arranging things,gentle and nature,creative quietness and void-quietness. The artistic conception consists of feeling expression,smoothing spirit, combination of form and spirit,flowers in a mirror, clarification of mind, and nothingness and tranquility. The passion conception involves childishness and love for prostitutes, bamboos and stones love me, mountains and rivers belongs to Dadi, arranging things, scene and sight, from and to the world. On the historical background of whole national cultural development this text discusses the development rule and general characteristics of the artistic conception based on the dynamic changes of the social economy and culture, starting with the pursuing orientation of the subject value of life,the point of strength in the artistic creation and the artistic appreciation,as well as the deepening of comprehension of creative mentality.The fourth chapter,conclusion. Through the research on the origin and logic development of"Jing",this text sums up the national reasons of the generation of"Jing"and the internal power and general characteristics of its logical development.
