Zhou Bi is a very unique itinerant poet in the late Southern Song Dynasty and his poetry has a very unique artistic value in the time that he lived. However, for a long time, the research of the academic community has been more adequate on his poetic theme, yet less attention to his writing poetry. His poetry is buried in the dust of history and few people are interested. This article places Zhou Bi in the environment of politics, ideology, and culture of late Southern Song Dynasty, and then analyses his poetry ideological content, his artistic achievement and his creative sources by grasping his overall life, thus highlights the unique charm and artistic value of his poetry.This article is composed of introduction and four chapters. Introduction summartizes the research about Zhou Bi.The first chapter presents Zhou Bi's family background, outing and mindset. Zhou Bi was born in a scholarly family and affected by his father, Zhou Wenpu; he has read a lot of books and has encyclopedic knowledge when he was a teenager, showing a strong poetry attainment. Zhou Bi has many friends all his life, contacts with poets is an important part of his road of life. Zhou Bi advocates thought of Zen, but he always does not give up positive thoughts of Confucianism.The second chapter makes an overview for Zhou Bi subject of poetry. Zhou Bi has about two hundred and seven poems, generally including the travel notes poems, chanting poems, farewell poems, ode to history poems in various subjects. Among them, the travel notes poems are about forty, accounting for almost one-fifth of the total poems. Zhou Bi loves nature, he describes more chanting poems of flowers. He values friendship and itinerant poets, farewell poems are full of sorrow. Zhou Bi is a patriotic poet, his ode to history poems express his emotion. In addition, he also has sentimental poems, painting poems, solar terms poems and other poems.The third chapter presents the artistic achievement of Zhou Bi's poetry. It divides his artistic achievement into four different aspects, and then discusses his poems combined with the rivers and lakes poetry. From the selection of scene and subject of his poetry, it shows the tiny features of weather; from the poetry words and the natural scene, it performs the cold characteristic of his poets; from the ordinary and simple description of the content, the plain and natural language, it shows the simplicity of his poets; from the specific quiet situation and depletion, it shows a kind of monk cassock gas.The fourth chapter presents Zhou Bi's original poetry creation. He absorbs a large number of human nutrition from the past cultural heritage; not only does he inherit, but also he innovates, and finally he develops a unique artistic style. Zhou Bi is one of representative figures of the late Lake School. His poems are full of the interest and mood which is the itinerant living conditions and psychological state characteristics of the Lake School. It fills with sour gas and the bitter flavor of cold. In addition, Zhou Bi also studies a lot from the poetry of late Tang; he also respects Jia Dao, Yao He and Xu Hun; the poetry contents and aesthetic of the three poets are also reflected in Zhou Bi's poetry. As a poet, Zhou Bi's poetry status and influence can not be ignored in the Southern Song Dynasty. He is one of the participants in the peak of the Southern Song Dynasty poetry arena, and makes his own contribution. He has great effects on the late Southern Song Dynasty poetry, especially the Lake School.
