| In 1997, Navon said that the process of perception was the process of analyzing global more and more complexly. This is Global Precedence Hypothesis. Effects of Global Precedence means when an individual processes compound stimulation, among perception system global character will be firstly processed and then local character. From 1970s many psychologists and experts on neurocognitive have studied theory suppose on, influential factors of and brain mechanism of perception global precedence. As a result, they have gained plenty of achievement and helped people know more perception global precedence further. Research on perception global precedence has become a hot point in the area of cognitive psychology. However, study on perception global precedence among individual differences is less. Field Independence---Field Dependence are always important aspects of individual differences. From the point of view of FI---FD, in this thesis pictures of compound letters are used as experiment materials and various of cognitive individuals'visual global precedence is investigated as well.There are three experiments in this research. Experiment 1, the influence of effects of Global Precedence about cognitive style is initially discussed under right images pictures, which is designed by 2×2×2. The independent variables are cognitive style (FI and FD), kinds of mission (judgment of big letters and small letters) and kinds of stimulation (consistence between large and small letters, inconsistence between large ones and small ones). Cognitive style is between-subject variables, kinds of mission and kinds of stimulation are within-subject variables. Experiment 2, whose design is different from Experiment 1. The influence of effects of Global Precedence about cognitive style is further discussed under pictures of right mirror image, which is designed by 2×2×2. The independent variables are cognitive style (FI and FD), kinds of mission (judgment of big letters and small letters) and consistence of right mirror image (consistence between large and small letters, inconsistence between large ones and small ones). Cognitive style is between-subject variables, kinds of mission and consistence of right mirror image are within-subject variables. Experiment 3, is based on pictures from Experiment 2 and large letters and small letters are rotated in different degree. The influence of effects of global precedence about cognitive style is also further discussed, which is designed by 2×2×2. The independent variables are cognitive style (FI and FD), kinds of mission (judgment of big letters and small letters) and consistence of rotated angle (consistence of rotated angle between large and small letters, inconsistence of rotated angle between large ones and small ones). Cognitive style is between-subject variables, kinds of mission and consistence of rotated angle are within-subject variables.The experiments results show that firstly, while right images are presented, there are differences on Visual Global Precedence among various cognitive individuals. They depend on outside FD individuals'Effects of Global Precedence more superior to FI individuals; secondly, while right mirror images are presented, there are differences on Visual Global Precedence among various cognitive individuals. They depend on outside FD individuals'Effects of Global Precedence more superior to FI individuals; thirdly, while mission of mental rotation is presented, there are differences on Visual Global Precedence among various cognitive individuals. Those FI individuals who have higher ability of metacognition monitoring are more superior to FD individuals.
