Study On Jin Shengtan's Esthetic Criticism Theory To Novel

Jin Shengtan's comments on novel is rich in content, profound in thinking and unique in terms, and has made significant contribution to the enrichment and development of Chinese novels aesthetic theory. But, for a long time academic study about Jin Shengtan often focuses on his political ideas, character theory, the social function theory as well as the West narrative theory, hermeneutics theory etc, and concern on his aesthetic criticism of the system is relatively small. Jin Shengtan's novel aesthetic theory is limited for the form of comment, decentralized heterogeneous, no systematic consideration, but existing system concept. This paper attempts to collect the novel aesthetic criticism contexts, category, words, ideas, and then put his novel theories in aesthetics system of overall perspectives, explaining his aesthetic criticism ideas, revealing his aesthetic criticism logic, analyzing his aesthetic criticism system and characteristics, as well as understanding and summarize his huge contribution to the novel aesthetic theories.This paper mainly discusses four aspects:The first chapter:"Novel esthetic characteristic". Starting with the difference between the novels and historical works, explain Jin Shengtan's unique view of the aesthetic essence of fiction, namely:novels which "judging by article cause things" can be fictitious. On this basis, the "elegant heart and refined mouth", changed the past idea that literature is a political client, replaced utilitarian political standards with aesthetic entertainment standards, and valued literature from the aesthetics point. This view of literary entertainment made an outstanding contribution to literature independence.The second chapter:"The writer's aesthetic cultivation". This chapter reveals Jin Shengtan's understanding of the writer's aesthetic cultivation from three connected aspects:writer's clear mind when accumulating life experiences, writer's emotional experience when artistic considering the works, writer's statements in Italy or outside when artistic expressing the words.The third chapter:"Novel aesthetic creation skills and spiritual". From the character disposition, the novel plot, the novel language aspects explains Jin Shengtan's exploration of novel aesthetic creation skills. This chapter focuses on analysis of Jin Shengtan's standards for successful character and its creation skills, simultaneously exploring Jin Shengtan's view to set the wonderful dangerous plot, convey the esthetic sense language skills.The fourth chapter:"The comprehension of novel aesthetic implication". This chapter start with Jin Shengtan's personal reading experience to address that the reader should bring with emotion to realize aesthetic pleasure works brings, and with reason to see clearly the ideological value and aesthetic value of the work, at the same time should also re-creat the novel significance at "no words" place. This chapter carding Jin Shengtan's novels aesthetic receiving theory from the emotionality, rationality, creativity aspects, seeks the underlying aesthetic receiving thought try hard to reveal Jin Shengtan's excellent aesthetic wisdom.
