Taking his "Tang Poetry"as research centers, the author will explore Jin's poetic thought and practice of poetry. The following components will be included.Jin's life and ideas will be mentioned briefly in the introduction. His achievements in literature Criticism will be summarized, an overview of the research made by literary circle on Jin's thoughts and literary achievement will be given, and the main research results taken as the basis of this paper will be pointed out.In Chapter One the social and cultural environment, poetic background and character of Jin will be discussed. It is made up of three parts: current thought during late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty and Wu Chung-regional culture, Mannerism and Spirituality,as well as Jin's ideological character. Based on this, the reason for the formation of "Tang Poetry" will be investigated.Chapter two will go on with the discussion of Jin's poetic ideas and the focus of the poems'sellection in "Tang Poetry". The poetic spontaneity and sincerity are given much attention to in Jin's criticism. He also emphasized writer's ethical and moral character, advocated that "heart" and "knowledge" should be integrated with the poem itself and that there should not be pure poetry scene description in a poem. Focused on the poems of middle and late Tang dynasty, Jin accoladed Du Fu Qilv very much in this poetic sellection.Taking Seven verses as the discuss center, with a premise of ideological content of the Implication and mellow, Jin payed attention to structural changes and the essence of works, and he loved new ideas and ingenious works, too. In chapter three the theory connotation and critical practice of Jin's decomposition will be discussed. In Jin's opinion, there are characteristics such as four-part question, and mutural decomposition in a seven verses poem. However, people tends to emphasize the"middle four verses",which goes the different way with the nature of Tang poems. The judegment such as"good poem can not be decomposed"leads to useless criticisms. Therefore, Jin proposed decomposition, that is, getting the essence of the poem by analyzing the semantic relationships. The critical practice include: structural meaning from the clock before and after, transition and decomposition, poetry and various parts of the relationship between poem, poetry, and creative methods expressing the words, structure and style of performance poetry. This leads to the breaking down of the form of poetry, the binding of "read" and "overview", structural analysis combined with the perception Tasting, "General of meaning" and "open hearts of visitors," combined with criticism of characteristics. In Chapter four the author summarizes Jin's theory advocates and critics success. The generalization and criticism toward Jin's poetic though, sellecting emphasise, decomposition theory and critic practices will be made. The author will also discuss Jin's advantages as well as disadvantages and his influence on later literary world. The whole paper will be summarized, and the literary value of Jin's "Tang Poetry" will be discussed in the conclusion.
