As the powerful factors of guiding individual thoughts and behavior, academic possible selves embodies the problem of the self-concept development students'academic and the training of academic psychological diathesis. it has become the important direction of education research to probe the students'academic psychology and behavior according to the academic possible selves. The foreign researchers have proceeded an extensive and in-depth research on the structure,development characteristics,influence factors and another factors of possible selves among students,but it has been starting to research in our country.In order to expand the scope of domestic self-concept,basing on the native culture as a background ,this study used foreign literature,selected the junior high students for test ,revised the foreign academic possible selves questionnaire with a questionnaire survey to proceed data factors analysis.This study examines the group characteristics of academic possible selves in native culture and relationship of the academic motivation and academic achievements with analysis of variance,correlation analysis and regression analysis.Taking together, the conclusion of this study as follows:(1)The academic possible selves of junior high school students is formed by four dimensions:positive near-end academic possible selves,positive far-end academic possible selves,negative near-end academic possible selves and negative far-end academic possible selves.(2)The performance of the analysis of the academic possible selves of junior high school students revised this questionnaire shows that it has high reliability and validity.(3)The level of the academic possible selves of junior high school students is low that it is less than the medium level.As whole the academic possible selves-concept of junior high school students is partial negative. The academic possible selves is significantly different in gender,grade,family structure,economic conditions and mother'culture extent,but it was not significantly different in school level,the students' land,whether they are the only child and fathers'education degree. (4)The correlation analysis shows that the academic possible selves of junior high school students, academic motivation and academic achivement among the three parts had positive correlation. Regression analysis showed that the academic possible selves can forcast academic achievement positively,the academic possible selves can also forcast academic motivation and the academic motivation can also forcast academic motivation positively .(5)The academic motivation played a partial intermediary role between the academic possible selves and academic achievements .It was than the academic possible selves not only influenced academic achievement by academic motivation but also it influenced academic achievement directly .(6)The academic possible selves of junior high school students was influenced not only by individual differences, but also by the growing environmental .
