The Archaeological Discovery And Its Research Process Of Jade Bi Of Liangzhu Culture

Liangzhu Culture is an important neolithic culture in southern China in the area of which Taihu Lake Basin is the center , mainly distributed in Jiangsu and Zhejiang province and Shanghai city,it is the prehistoric culture which has its unique characteristics of which a large number of jade objects had been excavated.The quantity of Jade bi of Liangzhu Culture is the largest in all the unearthed jades, and the range is the most extensive. Since the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture had been excavated for the first time in Wuxian Caoxieshan site in Jiangsu province,the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture were excavated in a large number one after another in the covered area of Liangzhu Culture. Subsequently,a series of articles and books which are about the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture were published, the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture were researched respectively from various angles and at different levels. This paper starts from the archaeological discoveries of the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture, carding the course of the study in the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is the preface. This part first introduced the concept of the Liangzhu Culture and then introduced the situation of exploring in the Liangzhu in 1936, the data was compared according to the excavation of material at that time, initially,Liangzhu Culture was considered as a branch of the Longshan Culture, later Liangzhu Culture Naming was formally proposed by Xia Nai. Then introduced the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture, the discovery of Caoxieshan site officially confirmed its identity. Finally,i write the purpose and significance of writing this article.The second part ,the archaeological discoveries of the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture. This chapter is divided into two parts, first of all, the stages division of the archaeological discoveries of the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture, according to the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture excavated under the circumstances,the research will be divided into three phases, each depicts the situation of the excavation of different stages. Second, according to the order of the time, detailedly describes the excavation of the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture and thereafter attaches the tables of the excavation of the jade bi of liangzhu culture.The third part, the research history of the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture. First , the research on the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture is divided into three stages, describes the situation of the study in each stage. And then introduces the situation of the research on the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture from different perspectives, including six perspectives: progenitor type and origin, the basic shape and texture, the source of jade material, manufacturing process, decoration and design, purpose and function.The fourth part, the main contention and disagreement about the research on the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture. This chapter highlights the researchers'different views of studying the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture in the same aspect, that their views and differences, and put forward my own idea on the basis of comparing and analysing each of the ideas.Part V, Conclusion. Summed up the idea of writing this article and article structure, analysis of the current status of research on the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture, what are the research,the research in which levels or which angles are more, what are the mainstream views , finally talk a little about the shortcomings of research on the jade bi of Liangzhu Culture and the outlook for future research.
