The Study Of Decoration Art Of Traditional Carved Wood Windows In Langzhong

The main purpose of this paper is studying the traditional architecture of Langzhong, with its traditional wood-carved windows decoration art as a subject of approach, by means of referring to large numbers of documents and materials and applying to kinds of field searches to analysis the art rule of its traditional pattern design, not just exploring the connotative meanings of its decoration art with characteristic of two ancient states in modern Szechwan color, but also focusing on reflecting the application value of decoration art in modern design field, seeking a way of its protection,inheritance and innovative.This paper mainly developed with the search of artistic form and the feature of Langzhong traditional woodcarving decoration art,the search of origin of decoration art and its culture value,the search of application value reflection of decoration art in modern age,the search of current situation and protection measure for decoration art. It starts with the origin of windows, which is considered as the eye of architecture, and the origin of carved wood windows, which is considered as headstream of decoration of folk house, then proceeds to introduce the reasons for traditional carved wood windows coming into being in Langzhong based on the peculiar historical background, geographic environment, humanistic culture, and economic technology of this city, also it elaborates the extremely important status and decorative function in traditional carved wood windows of folk houses in Langzhong, organizes various styles and contents of decorative patterns in carved wood windows, analyses and compares it with the residents in Pingyao of Shanxi and Huizhou of Jiangxi. Conceals the philosophic idea"harmony between man and nature",decorative cultural connotation on an ethic level, combines with the knowledge of interior decoration design and planar design, finally it comes to summarize that the application value reflection of its decoration art in modern interior decoration design and planar design, and also list its application value as reworked art and precious reserved art. Finally, we briefly analyses the current situation of traditional woodcarving windows decoration in Langzhong, and propose some suggestions on its protection measures.
