The Research Of Weibin Verbs In Modern Chinese

The subject investigated in this article is Weibin verbs. The article classifies Weibin verbs systemically and studies the semantic relation between Weibin verbs and the predicate objects.Firstly,we study on the range of Weibin verbs and semantic types of predicate objects, and confirm the 495 Weibin Verbs as the research object according to Chinese Verb Usage Dictionary.Secondly,we classify the Weibin verbs hierarchically and systemically. we divide Weibin verbs into typical Weibin verbs and untypical Weibin verbs according to the typicality theory of parts of speech. Then, divide typical Weibin verbs and untypical Weibin verbs into sub-categories according to the grammatical function of the object. Sub-classify the sub-categories of typical Weibin verbs and untypical Weibin verbs according to semantic feature.Finaly, we study the semantic relationship between the Weibin verbs and the predicate objects in modem Chinese. We divide the relationships into twelve categories. The article attempts to formulate some corresponding form standard.
