Paraphrasing Of The Phrases In Hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao

The hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao is valuable linguistic data. Ever since been discovered, it has become the focus of the related academic fields. Compared with the medical and botanical researches on it, the language and character research on it is quite limited.As the precious literature of Chinese language and traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy, the hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao conserves many vocabularies of Chinese language and traditional Chinese medicine, which are of great significance to the compilation of the authoritative lexicographical book, the exploration and establishment of the vocabulary system of Chinese language, the research and collation of the classical medical documents.With the record of the hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao, this work firstly paraphrases the phrases with undiscovered meaning, in order to make the explanation in Hanyu Dacidian more accurate. At the same time, this work firstly focus on the characteristic words, which are the medical phrases, in the book. By accomplishing this, the author wants to provide references for the compilation of the medical dictionary.Furthermore, with the phrase research, this paper analyses the inaccuracies in the hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao and its two counterparts. From the viewpoint of the pattern of Chinese character, the phrase and stylistic rules and layout of the hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao, with the knowledge of Chinese language and character, we proofread the hand-copied Xinxiu Bencao and its two restoration editions, in order to make it more authentic and provide more meritorious materials for the prospective research.
