Detecting The Emotional Effect Caused By Music With Face Expression Priming Paradigm

In order to understand the psychological phenomenon and laws of our humans, it's very important to study the musical psychology since psychological processes will be emerged, which are always complex, with music. Music is the language of emotion, it, getting to know the influence of music on emotion, plays an important role in the area of musical psychology. Using the face expression priming paradigm to study musical emotion, how the music of happiness or sadness impact the emotion of participants is explored, and that whether the face expression priming paradigm can be used in exploring musical emotion or not. As a result, a certain kind of music can certainly develops a certain kind of influence among the participants, that is, the music about happiness will make the participants more likely to consider the expression in the picture as happiness, while sad music contributes to the opposite result. Different tendencies of reaction have embodied in the face expression priming paradigm, from which we can demonstrate that the face expression priming paradigm can be used to recognize the happy and sad emotion stimulated by the music. However, the study has reached a different conclusion that the power of discrimination in the experiment group has a significant raise with respect to control group after the music, which we need a further study to explore.
